AT one point, they all were. Some not as much as others, but Axl and Slash had just as much ruin at the time as Adler. S

One of the greatest misconceptions is that Axl was a junkie too. He was not nearly as bad as the rest of them when it came to substance abuse, and largely kept to himself.

He plays just fine now. He regularly tours with Adler's Attitude.

Yes and no. Although Axl did dabble to excess, his dominant vice was women. There were multiple incidents involving domestic violence (way before the Stephanie Seymour stuff) that very much imperiled the band. Way more than Adler being a junkie did.

Never said he was a junkie. I am not even sure he did heroin but a handful of times. He was, however, a heavy drinker (through Lies anyway) and was an abusive, neurotic, sonofabitch -- especially with women.

GnR was dead as soon as Smells Like Teen Spirit was released

Nonsense. Nevermind was released Fall of 1991 and GNR were still making videos for MTV from the Illusions albums through late 1993. GNR was going to make it. They killed themselves -- not Nirvana. GNR was not in the category of Quiet Riot and Motley Crue (with Corabi as singer) nor Posion -- all 3 of whom went on to play small crowds at shitty clubs. Metallica and GNR were still playing arenas in 1993. Both of those bands were never going to lose their appeal.

Even Native Tongue - released in 1993 - got a lot of press and went platinum.

Motley Crue

The band famously got the $50M deal to put out Generation Swine and 2 or 3 other albums...and that was probably inked in 1996.

Motley Crue and John Corabi (not Vince) and before Gen Swine struck out badly and ended up doing clubs. That self-titled album was pretty damn good...just released at the wrong time.

I can remember rushing home from school waiting for the premiere of the Paradise City video on MTV like it was yesterday.

Also hearing tickets will be in the 250-300 range?

Personally, I wouldn't pay 25 to see this retread.

They should call it the Extortion Tour, all they are doing is fleecing their fans.
