quote:yes that and retail investors have unprecedented access. Now everybody can trade on their phone in seconds while waiting for coffee.
I’m very interested to see what happens during the next bear market or bubble burst. I think i read that almost over 25% of the market is made up of retail investors which is the largest percentage in history. And retail at this point has been conditioned to “buy the dip”. Institutional investors have to account for that and follow suit to a certain extent.

If he gets the right tow company they will bring some junkyard wheels. Source is personal experience. This happened to my wife and son in his brand new Honda in Houston. It took a call to the dealership to see what tow company they used but we found one with some loaner wheels. Allstate paid full price to the dealer for everything but the car only had like 800 miles on it. Rotors were not damaged but the backing plates were. So wheels, tires, TPMS monitors, backing plates, lugs and labor, full alignment and camera alignment because backing plates require suspension disassembly. The 3 mile tow was about $350 as well. Whole amount charged to insurance was like $5800 IIRC. They had to rent a car to get home. I went back three days later and there were 3 cars sitting on blocks at the dealership. Pretty sure I found the thief on FB marketplace but Houston PD basically laughed at me (as expected)
not bad at all during the day. my son lives on that end of Carondelet and I walk/run through there and down St. Charles all the time when I don't feel like going the other direction downtown/FQ/riverfront. Walk to the circle k at night with no real problems either I just act more aware. I usually have AirPods in whether I'm listening to something or not and I find that helps with people trying to talk to me. if they do, I just point to my ears and keep moving lol.

I hear this a lot. Out of curiosity, what more would you want your phone to do?
We don’t know what we don’t know. Before the iPhone came out we didn’t even know that it was even possible. It was a giant leap than any of the “smart” phones of the time. I had a Windows phone that was absolute garbage after I held the first iPhone in my hand. The next 16+ iterations have been incremental. Would love to see a huge leap forward again of some sort.

I never knew there were so many Greek slob knobbers on this board. Look at all the value.
Yeah let's just take a small snippet of a very vocal side of that life in the biggest Greek systems and apply it to all schools.

How many $3.5m houses are there in Baton Rouge? What’s the property tax in something like that?

I wouldn’t buy that house simply because of the microwave location.
I think the in the wall micro is inthe guest house/pool house?
Is the property worth that much? In many other neighborhoods on the north shore or even old metairie that's a 2-2.3 house at the most.

He still lives in University Club. If he is broke he must have gambled a lot of it away, but I know before this past season started he put it out there he was interested in coaching again.. And hasn't taken any job since.

my dad used Skarda from the 80's up until he passed in 2021. I think my mom still uses him for her small personal stuff. Never heard a complaint.

Like I said to each their own and it’s your money not mine. I would def pay for college and finance anything they need for academics. Anything non academic they can get a job and pay for it themselves. I would pay insurance, medical dental and car.
Would? This implies you have not yet put a child through college. I can assure you what you say you would do and what you will actually do when that time comes may be 2 totally different things.
"ill never pay for a car for my kids, they'll have to earn it" If I had a dollar for every time I heard that when my friends had small kids. Different story when they turned 16.

When did this happen? There’s a few Asian monks in the Quarter trying to hand bracelets to tourists and then aggressively asking for money. Gotta dodge them, gutter punks and the “I know where you got your shoes from” folks.
I usually just keep my AirPods in at all times when walking down there. They mostly keep people from talking to me. If they try I just point at the AirPods and keep on walking. Works well

I'm a stickler for tradition. I coat myself in olive oil and scrape off the gunk, like a real Roman.

quote:man those G90's are so huge, may as well buy the wagon at that point. Even the 992 feel big. an oak Neo touring would be a sweet ride but I think I'm going to the grave with my 991.2 3RS. I have a 4RS also, those may be my 2 forever cars.
It is not as bad as the weight would suggest, in fact you don't notice it on the street. We drove a G90 since my wife is interested in replacing her F90 Comp, the G90 really is excellent on the street, as good or better than the F90. My wife is holding off on the decision to see if they make a G90 M5 Comp which they have suggested they won't build. If not, she may go a different path with a GT3 Touring being the next one in line. and it would be nice to have a N/A manual car back in the garage.
Outkast has really fallen off.
