I'm gunna go ahead and say that primus and BTS can definitely be associated in any so-called jamband scene. You can go to either of their shows a see a taper which puts them up on the jam scale

Go ahead and throw turnpike troubadours into the jam band mix then

Not saying Primus is a jam band but they are definitely accepted in the jam band scene. Mainly because of Les Claypool's side projects.

Incredible...Custys galore at these type of shows, so you need to bring your A game if you are looking to buy the hettiest drugs.

You can find tapers at a GWAR show. My point is that if anyone gives a shite about relistening to a live show (with the exception of a few bands) its more than likely a jam oriented band and thus a jamband

Was that the one with Mystikal and Mannie Fresh, or was that two years ago?

Nice.

I will probably end up at that as well. Love the Joy as a venue and haven't seen the New Mastersounds in a few years.

Speaking of, I need to make it to one of Eddie Roberts' shows at his Maple Leaf residency this month.

Saw both nights the New Years before the hiatus. '03 I believe. Lots of mushroom chocolates. Good times.

2 days until Phish kicks things off at Madison Square Garden! Interesting fact: Dec 28th will the the band's overall 28th show at MSG, as will the 31st be the 31st, etc... Quite a feat to play the most famous arena in the world that often.

Great article on the Phish NYE run with a recap of 2013

Hippie Dance Chuck Hughes ASCAP

Good evening everybody
Welcome to the show
If you're not here to rock
I guess you'll have to go
We don't wanna dally
We won't make you wait
But before the rockin' starts
Let's get somethin' straight

Please don't do that hippie dance
When we're about to rock
You freak out all the cats
You'll send 'em into shock
You'll upset the band
While we're tryin' to sing
And freak out all those kittens
While they're tryin' to swing

If you haven't noticed
This ain't the Grateful Dead
Our hair is nice and short
No acid's in our head
And if you're gonna ask us
If we can play some Phish
You have to go to somewhere else to hear that gibberish.
