FYI, I found this the other day whilst searching for some Little Feat records on Amazon.
It was pretty good (aside from Van Dyke Parks bragging about all the words he knows). I've always liked them, and they were a band I'd always wanted to know more about. This was helpful to expand my knowledge. Sucks that Lowell just kinda flamed out. I liked their music much better before he died than after.

Nice find. I'm about 35 minutes in and enjoying it. It's nice to hear about Lowell's time with Zappa, I'd not heard it fleshed out before. Unfortunately I realized how good Little Feat and Lowell George were shortly after he died. Ironically the best concert I've ever seen was the Little Feat Reunion show, their first after Lowell George's death. On the River Boat President for Jazz Fest. It was off the charts. After that they were bad, mediocre, and pretty good in following concerts over a few years.
A couple of things I've dug up when You Tubing Lowell George:
Amazing sound quality for a bootleg of a jam session - Can't Find My Way Home:
Can't Find My Way Home - Bonnie Raitt & Lowell George & John Hammond Jr & Freebo
(Ultrasonic has an album of the Jam session which is pretty good but this song is the gem).
Recorded from a radio show:
Lowell George & Linda Ronstadt, - Willin' - Live 1975 WHFS FM Maryland

Right up there as one of my all time faves. I wore out a cassette of Waiting for Columbus

Only listened to handful of songs, but they're unkind to it on the documentary.
