I'm 100% sure this probably made it somewhere between page 15 and 23 which I haven't caught up on yet but...see cdawg's response above

First time I ever heard of tears for fears was catching this song on TBS Night Flight in 1983 (my parents wouldn't pay for MTV)
At the risk of sounding pretentious I knew from the opening riff and the elevator scene which I can see in my head when I'm 100. Tried to tell everyone at school the next day about it and they just rolled their eyes.
CAD was right damnit!

More than MTV which I only caught at a friend's house or the canteen at NLU, Night Tracks introduced so many videos to me.
That spinning star field intro and the neon record needle settling down on it and the cho cho cho in the background might as well have been another music video to me

Every afternoon at 6pm my arse was glued to USA and Lisa Robinson or Kathryn McKinley.
Didn't much care who was hosting it was either a blonde or a brunette

If you've never heard it, the story of how this song came about is pretty hysterical.

When I used to DJ, this one was a standard in my 80's sets. It has an epic Star Trek sample in it...

Sorry about that. I cleaned it up. Too good a thread for duplicity!

The 80's started twerking.
The 80's ended racism.
