That was an amazing time for music in general. I might not have realized it at the time but the early 90’s music was a peak music era.
My favorite from that chart is

Ned’s Atomic Dustbin’s God Fodder album is one of the most underrated albums of the 90’s. It is incredible start to finish.

Wow, me too.
I was still blaring NIN Broken or Faith No More Angeldust mostly around that time.

I remember a lot of those - oddly enough I don't remember that Ramones song, even though I reviewed the album for the college newspaper.

My most played CD at time was the Singles Soundtrack without a doubt
I see Screaming Trees on that chart from the Singles soundtrack along with SP Drown

How was "Blood Makes Noise" a #1 song? I don't remember it at all and am listening to it now. It's not a great song...just very surprising.

I think I vaguely remember it but it also may just sound like another song I can’t think of

I had that album on cassette, thanks to the college newspaper. I remember digging that Suzanne Vega record - it was vaguely industrial sounding, a big step away from the folk music she had previously made. That was the selling point "Oh her Nine Inch Nails record!" She also sexed up her image, which probably also played a role in me liking the record. I hadn't listened to that album in 30 years, dunno how it's held up.

Cool story. It's hard to picture my 8 year old self giving this song the time of day. If I had been in college, maybe.

Yeah, that's how I remember it too and I don't remember it working out well for her compared to the Folksie stuff. I guess she did have the DNA hip-hop remix of Tom's Diner.
Looking on that list, I remember Morrisey doing Glamourous Glue on SNL and it sounded great.
Moodswings was a decent electronica album for the time. It's a PM Dawn meets Enigma vibe. That song featured The Pretenders' lead singer. I haven't thought about that one in a long time.
Some of those bands just reminded me it was the tail end of Manchester sound/scene. Happy Mondays, House of Love, Darling Buds, Kitchens of Distinction

Here's another fantastic one from around that tone

Maybe it was because of where I was going to college, but Soul Asylum's Grave Dancers Union was just massive. And Sugar, too.
