Yeah, Voodoo isn't that great. I remember a BBQ place opened up in that hotel on Nicholson but closed down pretty quickly IIRC.

It has been like 5 places since then. All terrible.

Smokin' Aces is really the only place in BR that I will go to get BBQ.

Anything was better than Serrano's. That place blew hard.
That place was an over priced, unorganized pile of shite. Although there was an enormous flock of sorority girls on gamedays. But it was almost always too crowded to be comfortable.

City Pork is good, but Smokin Aces is more of a straight up traditional BBQ place. And it's fricking good. I honestly think it stacks up nicely with The Joint. The sides aren't as good as the Joint, but dem ribs.

Yeah, it was sad that some shitty Tex Mex place became the go-to spot on Saturdays during football season.

I do remember some bro throwing a beer bottle at a tv after we lost to Bama in 09. It exploded so that was pretty cool to see.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about City Pork and I lived down the road from it

They also have a "bama style" pulled pork sandwich there.

. The Varsity is actually the place to go during the game these days IMO. The 10 dollar all you can drink beers during the game is clutch. But you have to make sure to get there really early to grab a spot.

I've been to City Pork like 3 times, and I've been underwhelmed every time

You slap "artisan" next to something and BR and everyone shits their pants

The BR location isn't open yet.

Oh no - Arcade games, beer and really good burgers right next to a massive university with thousands of girls - Sounds like a fricking nightmare.

Barcadia in NOLA is typically guido filled, not hipsters.
