I did used to get annoyed with his style on top of their songs because that was it was for the first couple 3 years. He was just throwing his licks on top of their songs. It was "Jimmy Herring with Widespread Panic". JoJo and Dave got lazy (que the schools jokes). But he really found his groove in Spring 2011. He really has settled in and fits in great IMO.

Mikey's guitar, to me, always sounded like a musical see saw. Waa WAAA waaa WAAA waa WAA waa. Panic fans always said it was the "tornado," but it always just felt like it was going back and forth, back and forth to me.

You have to be a pretty big loser to not have fun at a Panic or Phish show. They are out there tho.
