summer tour openers:

09 - Star Spangled Banner (Fenway Park)
10 - Down With Disease (Chicago)
11 - Tweezer (Bethel Woods,NY)
12 - Buried Alive (Worcester)
13 - Possum (Bangor)

last openers in Mansfield (site of tour opener tomorrow)

11- Llama
10- Lit O Bit
09- Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan

Based on all of that I'd say Jim is a good guess. I'm going to go with Fuego.

Yep. I was hyped when I saw that on the official release list. For some reason auds from that era are disappointing. It would seem like they would naturally improve over the earlier years because of technological advances, but the opposite holds true. I guess the bigger sized venues may play a large role in drop in audio quality. I am also spoiled by soundboards at this point.

They need to release way more 99-2000 shows. Great years that are under talked about because there isnt much out there.

Agreed. 99 is an undervalued year because there are just no sbds out there. I don't even think there are more than like 3-4 sbds of the entire year of 1999 out there. Like 7/10, 9/14, Oswego...and I don't even know, that might be it. They need to work on that.

A Decemeber 1999 boxset would be money.

Phish Inc. has been downright awful lately regarding archival releases. They could really learn something from what The Dead has done in that aspect.

New York Times - How to Draw a Phish Song

quote:

When you’re listening to a great piece of music, what are you imagining?

If you’re Mike Hamad, a music writer for The Hartford Courant, you see an evolving chart of key designations, arrows, descriptive notes, roman numerals and wavy lines, and you sketch it out in real time as a song progresses. A Phish performance in July 2013 spurred him to draw up the first of these dense but strangely beautiful song-maps — he calls them schematics — and he has gone on to create nearly 200 of them, many of which he posts online at setlistschematics.tumblr.com.
