Divided Sky and Guyute and songs like that don't do much for me. I would almost put Fluffhead on that list too.
I feel that way about Guyute (although I used to rock out to that studio version) all the time. Disagree about Divided Sky and Fluffhead. Those are just too good.

Songs with really (like 10 mins) long composed sections they they don't jam on are just sort of waste of time. At least for my money. I mean I know what those songs sound like, I'm here for the JAMZ. Like YEM is hella long too, but at least it jams.

I'm just saying. If I'm sitting and listening to a show, and Fluffhead or Divided Sky pop up, I'm skipping it. I'm not wasting 15 minutes on a song that sounds the same as the studio version outside of like a minute or two difference in a few parts.

Because I love that song even if it's mind numbingly simple.

The Miami '09 version made me a believer too. Best jam from the 12/29 show other than the Tweezer

I wouldn't mind spending the time if they didn't have 2 1/2 minute "pauses" throughout the song.

I thought you meant at a show. I never listen to them at home either but will gladly welcome one in a first set live.

I like Heavy Things and Bouncing
Songs I never listen to at home..but like to see in an appropriate slot live. Something like Joy I will go piss or talk to someone during.

Anyone else have the exact fast forward times on certain songs memorized? Like 2:30 for Mike's, 4:15 for Tweezer, 4:30ish for Ghost, 6:30ish for Reba, etc.

quote:Agreed. They sort of do that for Tweezer and Ghost (sort of), but those are like the only two. Sometimes Reba and Hood can be a chore to listen to, especially if they're flubbing the shite out of the composed parts.
I feel like they could break a bunch of those songs up with "mid song" jams. Like get 3 minutes into Reba and expand then finish the song and close it out with a jam.
Posted on 7/8/14 at 10:04 pm to danman6336
There have been a few instances where they do that with Tweezer like 10.30.10 and the Bomb Factory.

What about tonight's Setlist? Some of what I heard sounded alright but the stream was shite.
On paper it looks pretty meh as far as song placement. I wonder how much the time crunch is affecting things
