I just passed L'Auberge and they have the stage built and it looks like it could be a nice little set-up. The stage faces south on River Road so the audience's backs will be to the casino. There is plenty of open space on "the lawn" plus I would imagine some people may watch from the slope of the levee too.
If the weather cools off a bit in the evening this could make for a pretty sweet show.

They should play "Speak of the Devil" and "Flash Flood" from the new album. I'd love to know what y'all think of them, especially since this board has such mixed feelings about the new single.

From what I saw on the news just now may be a wet show.

Why couldn't they play a week later so I will be on fall break and could go.

I am in BR for the weekend but leaving before this show. I was super bummed out but then another poster informed me that AA is opening for Boland on Wednesday on Austin. It's a free show, too

Ok having heard the new single live and on radio/iTunes I really like it with the exception of that British wa bullshite Geoffrey is doing with the guitar.

Any reports from people that went?

Great show and venue too. This was my third time seeing RRB live in BR and I'd say the best, possibly because I didn't drink as much as previous shows and could appreciate the songs more. The weather turned out to be just fine and I'd say cooler than if it were in a cramped indoor venue.
Although I was skeptical at first, I'm sold on the new single and I really like "Speak of the Devil" too. They played a nice mix of old and new and covered all of my favorites. Great concert and I look forward to some new music from them!

Then I don't know WTF she was talking about because that is standard. Was there an opener? If not, maybe that's why it felt short.

Yea Brent Anderson opened and played from 8-845 or so and RRB came on shortly after at 9. I wouldn't say it was short at all, it just started earlier than most concerts. People left at 10:30 and it felt a little different than leaving at midnight if a show doesn't start until late.

The band minus RR was in the casino afterwards. Said they have always enjoyed playing in BR and plan booking a varsity gig soon.
As for the venue, the set up was nice. I would move the stage towards facing the river more so the levee can be used more and have it amphitheater style. Even though I wasnt hungry Id prb have a food venue out there and I thought it would be cool if they had a VIP section that you paid for so you could sit and get mixed drinks. With better marketing and a little changes the "Lawn" will good for BR.
