I bartended a Juvenile/Birdman show in New Orleans shortly after Katrina. Had armed guards to keep the crowd from fricking with me. Still had some big guy unhappy with what his round cost at the station next to mine grab a bottle of liquor out of the girl's hand and throw it at my head. Granted I don't think he was aiming at me specifically. The ensuing melee between the crowd and security was pretty bad.

DAC at a dirt track speedway in N. LA a few years before his casino-circuit comeback. He was drunk and ornery, the crowd was split 50-50 between bikers and backwoods rednecks.

D.A.C. is a patch carrying Outlaw from a Florida chapter. Pretty much why that's who you'll notice working security at his shows.

Some of the more memorably violent shows I've been at...
Fearless Vampire Killers - features original members of Cro-Mags and Bad Brains, including John Joseph.
The Templars (New York Oi! band)
Agnostic Front with Death Before Dishonor opening for them - the venue was full of FSU ["friends stand united"] members... Best to listen to the music, and not make any sort of scene to increase your life expectancy)
Terror - Hardcore at the angriest level possible.
The Casualties - I've seen these guys several times. When I saw them in Hawaii, the entire club was one giant pit. Several people got teeth/bones broken that night.

The Cro-Mags. Their fans came down from NYC and just beat the shite out of anyone they wanted. Angry people. Really, really angry

Pantera w/ Soulfly opening was craziest I'd been to - entire floor was a pit; I was injured that night
