Actually, this may be accurate.

Pavement is the shiznit. I don't even know what a hipster is anymore. people use the term so much and it so many ways it could literally mean anything. I saw a great line from Steven Hyden who said that we live in a world in which hipsters love Beyonce and hate the National.

That about sums it up. I will say my biggest problem with the modern hipster is that all of their bands can't rock at all. It's like alt-rock is afraid of punk rock and hardcore.

The original hipster is either Lou Reed, Alex Chilton, or Richard Hell. Well, other than Buddy Holly.

And I will stab you if you talk crap about Pavement.

I would seriously rather listen to Beyonce than The National. The beat in "Crazy in Love" is legendary. Am I a hipster?

Maybe. I don't know. You certainly are trying to hard, which is the first key attribute of a hipster.

Can't we like both?

Unfair is one of the best songs on the album.

My favorite was without a doubt 'Nail Clinic' which was only on the Hey Drag City EP, but same era. That would have cemented CRCR's greatness.

I don't like The National. I bought that popular album they had in either 2007 or 2008 (can't remember the name) and never got into it. Saw them live and they sucked balls.

The National just sounds like a less interesting Leonard Cohen to me. And I don't particularly like Leonard Cohen.

Pretty blah to me
