I'm predicting my best concert will happen in April. Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival. But Robert Randolph at HOB was the best show I've seen within the last year.

saw them there a few years earlier. I liked the fact that Maynard spent the entire show on his lil ramp looking thing off to the side. unlike most front men who demand ALL of the attention.

Years are approximate since I've forgotten.

Cat Stevens -- Independence Hall (1969?)
Jethro Tull -- Municipal Auditorium, N.O. (1973)
Frank Zappa -- Assembly Center (1977)

Also have seen The Who (twice), Led Zeppelin, Emerson Lake & Palmer, George Harrison, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, King Crimson, Roger Waters (twice), Doobie Brothers & Robin Trower.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Was my ninth time seeing them. That was the first show on that tour. Opened up with Third Eye and even threw in a little Intolerance off of Undertow. Great show...

Best-Original Allman Brothers at the Warehouse in New Orleans New Years eve 1970 or '71, before Duane Allman and Berry Oakley were killed in their accidents. 2nd- James Brown with his original band at the Monroe Civic Center 1967 or '68 . 3rd- Chicago and Three Dog Night all originals about 1970 or '71, at Northeast in Monroe. Saw Fats Domino, Johnny Rivers, and The Boogie Kings ,Baton Rouge about '73, Fantastic night for me, I was right in front. Saw the Rolling Stones in Memphis in the late '90's, not the same as thr 60's.

You're like me. Saw so many they all start to run together after a while. The ones that stick out :

Janis Joplin, Santana - Prairieville Pop festival

Jethro Tull - Warehouse and again at PMAC

Who - PMAC

Joe Cocker w/ Mad Dogs & Englishmen - Warehouse

Eagles (Hell Freezes Over Tour) - Superdome

Jimi Hendrix - Independence Hall

many, many more.
