Holy hyperbole

Relative to expectations I don’t think this is that much hyperbole.

Football laid a total egg
Basketball didn’t bother to show up
Baseball is laying an egg

Like another poster said, help is on the way and I have 100% confidence Jay will course correct.

It’s ok to say Woodward dropped a bomb on this program as a whole.
It doesn’t have the powerhouse name of a Rory but it’s actually a pretty fun field, especially given the spot on the calendar.

Some good young names to follow like Thorbjornsen, Shipley, Michael Brennan, Johnny Keefer, etc.

It’s always funny to me how unlikeable he is when his team of YouTube editors can’t control the video.
I think it’s perfectly within reason for the state to ask for some answers.

There’s a lot of things happening, and LIV is doing a really poor job of communicating (some of it is out their control obviously).

It doesn’t help when you have people like pirate king and MrLSU who still believe this is a large PGA conspiracy.

They had a couple rain delays last year from what I remember.

Hope it works out for both events, but this is the reality of events in the spring time in the south. Have to get lucky with the rain.

He’s got an impossible job right now. None of these decisions are his, but he has to try and explain them.
I was going to say this is the second “power outage” issue they’ve had this week.

Maybe it’s all coincidence.
The technical difficulties pop up on the YouTube stream has changed from black to white.

So they’re making progress

It sounds like LIV has enough funding to finish the year, but the Saudis are going to stop at the end of the year.

I wonder what that means for guys like Bryson and Rahm. The sooner they stop playing on LIV the quicker they are back on tour.

Not saying that happens, but interesting predicament.

This did not need its own thread

I don’t know if there’s a poster on this site that’s posted more fake news than MrLSU.

It’s like he takes random Twitter comments that post something cryptic and takes it as a fact.

This is an email from LIV CEO Scott O Neil to employees: LINK

My two immediate takeaways are:

1. That’s written like a pump up speech to improve morale, not a statement on the future of the league.

2. There was a previous email that cast doubts and confusion on where the league stands. That’s telling IMO.

I think we find out a lot more tomorrow.
I don’t think it’s moving goal posts, there’s obviously some issues taking place behind the scenes.

We don’t know the extent of them and the messaging from LIV has allowed rumors to swirl.

Now the messaging from the CEO is we have funding for the rest of the year. That’s not exactly confidence inspiring if questions are swirling around your long term success.

I might actually tune in for the start of the tournament tomorrow and see what’s going on
I thought they were funded through 2032?

Is it a year by year thing?

Rex haggard is the one reporting. No clue who / what his source is.
Golf channel is currently reporting some players are threatening to not play the first round of LIV Mexico after not being paid for Q1 play.

well well well...it's like I called this earlier in the thread.

Sorry, I stopped taking that one serious at

“members of the media were manipulated by bad actors in an effort to cover up immenent layoffs at the PGA tour”

They expected an eventual merger and equity in PGA Tour which they still might get.

 there’s a better chance the PGA tour cuts me a check.

It’s very clear to me something is happening. If it wasn’t - LIV would be way out in front of this with statements, visibility, and tweeting about the tournament starting.

None of that is happening. Very odd.

Alan shipnuck is reporting nothing is definite but he has heard from a “tapped in” player agent that the Saudis want to use the war as “force majure” to pull the plug on LIV.

ETA: Poster above beat me to it.

Ryan (Monday Q info) is pretty reliable and connected. I would be shocked if he pulled this out of thin air.
