He will. People were saying the same about Durant back in 07. I think he’s gonna be a superstar. I also think Jabari will be a superstar as well

Media is already calling for the Lakers to shut down Lebron for the rest of the season.

This is the one time I’m hoping the national media is right

The Knicks keep blowing leads. They are getting close to being out of the race for the 10 spot in the east. Starting to think they aren’t an option to pass the lakers

fricking Knicks. They had one job tonight, to get someone else other than Cam Johnson to beat them once he got hot.

Disappointment for 25 years

If a 9th or 10th seeded team manages to win both of its games in the tournament it will no longer participate in the NBA Draft Lottery.

pels most likely finish will be 9 assuming continued level of play. This sets up the following pretty tasty scenario

-pels win the 9/10 game and the play in game, to be seeded 8 in the playoffs

-they would then be slotted at 15, out of the lottery. The pels 1st round pick would go to CHA and the pels would keep their 2nd round pick (45). The trade for graham would be complete

-POR would then get MIL 2025 1st round pick protected 1-4

-LAL continues to slide, finishes at 10, pels get the pick

Pels would then have 10, 45, 49 & 56 (last 2 depending on actual finish of CLE and UTA)...and a 1st round playoff series against PHO

it’s premature to look ahead but frick it. I’d much rather play the suns than the warriors for no other reason than the home crowds would be on fire

Is this correct?
Lakers lose tonight, we move up to 9, Lakers down to 10 in West and in Lottery and we would get their pick.
Momentous night.

Yes, and I'm not worried about his part. The Pels will pass and stay ahead of the Lakers.

This is the part where things get slippery. Today they would fall to 10 because the Wizards are ahead of them by 1 game. But the Wizards already shut Beal down and are starting to slide. It's not a given that they stay ahead of the Lakers and it's also not a given that another team like the Spurs pass the Lakers.

We really need the Lakers to crumble or we'll be hoping they jump from 11 into the top 4 again.

The fact we're even debating it shows just how good Jabari is. He went off again today with 21 points and went 3/3 from 3PT and 8/8 on free throws. A guy that can shoot that good with his size is going to kill it in the NBA, especially once he gets surrounded with NBA quality shooters to give him even more room.

Chet and Jabari are like in 2019 with Zion and Ja, you just take whichever guy isn't picked 1st overall with the second pick and feel like you won. Both of these guys are so high ceiling, it's hard to imagine a scenario where they don't become two of the biggest stars in the NBA.

Porzingis leading Washington to a win was huge and gives me hope that the Pels can still pull off making the playoffs and keeping a top 10 pick.

The Pels face another top-10 offense on Tuesday, with their last meeting against the Grizzlies having come in that pre-break stretch of bad defense. Then they’ll play 12 of their next 15 games against teams that currently have losing records, a stretch that includes two games against the ninth-place Lakers.
