I am giving my season tickets up. Part of the reason is that with young kids it makes it hard to get to Nola from BR all the time.
The other is that I am drawing the line. For 5 years now I end every year with huge optimism for next year, and every year I turn out watching this team flop the majority of the season. I am tired of putting in $$$ to watch this front office fail. The nail in the coffin was a 20% increase in my tickets to renew next year.

Wait...prices went up 20%, but we're a shitty team [again] this year?
They must not want us to go to games.

I paid $840 per ticket last year. I have 4. Now its going to $1,050 a ticket per my rep. That's a change from $3,360 to $4,200 for a team who has performed way under expectations for years now.

I can still make a somewhat rational argument for giving Dell and Monty another season, but, frick it, I'm ready to see an complete shake up of the operation.
Sounds like you did some parading this weekend

I am a 9 year season ticket holder and am leaning towards not renewing. Watching Tyreke play makes me miss Peja at the end of his contract.

there is a lot to be excited about long-term for this team...It appears we have a generational super star locked up for a little while.
That's huge, and it's pretty incredible that we've lucked into two of them in a relatively short-span...Players like that make the playoffs by themselves...so there's that.
Really, just a little bit of front office competence, and this team can be very successful. The team we have, when healthy, is very talented, especially when you factor in continuous Davis growth.
...would love to move on from Monty and sign a competent SF with the MLE...after that, our team healthy with a new coach and time to gel, and hopefully the absence of Eric Gordon...could be a very good team.
you have to consider, it's not a huge difference between where our record stands and being a playoff team...we lost our second and third best players for most of the season...we went on a near 10 game losing streak...and at the all-star break, we were only 7 games below .500....many games in the NBA are decided by just a few points.
...and Davis is a baby...this is his first year as a star, at 20 years old...he could take another HUGE jump for next year...most of the greats do at this time
10 games above .500 is a very realistic, reasonable prediction for next season, imo
