Ok, going back to my original post. I said coaching, specifically with a shooting coach, will hopefully help him have a more consistent stroke. I never said he was deprived of coaching or didn't have that advantage on Lillard. I'm sure the class of people he had at his disposal is better than 95% of the draft class (don't know if any other player has professional connections).

Another thing which could be a positive(or negative depending in how you look at it.) Rivers only put up 1 rep on the bench. This could be a reason on him not being able to finish at the rim. Adding strength at the next level will definitely be good for him.
