This is the big issue with him. It isn't that he isn't a good scorer, but he also isn't good with the ball in his hands, so that makes him a poor distributor as well. And his 3pt % isn't good enough to be a catch and shoot guy either.
So when he is on offense, teams can sag off and basically ignore him since he isn't a threat from 3 nor driving to the paint.
Can he eventually turn things around? Yes he is young enough to be able to develop these things in time. But he was never going to develop them in the time frame we are looking at with Zion, at least not to a competitive level.
I admire his defense. You put him and Herb out there and that duo could shut shite down. But then what good is it when you get the ball back and the defense just sags off and makes it harder for the rest of the team to score. We saw it time and time again with him on the floor. You need to be able to do SOMETHING good on offense, and he doesn't do anything well enough nor consistently enough.
