The a-hole obviously doesn't want to be here. It's just sad that the fans that actually pay to go to games have to put up with this shite.

I'm not saying he makes or breaks our championship hopes, but he is just as important as Davis. We aren't trading an injured elite scorer for a healthy elite scorer. It's also difficult to find a player with his talent in the draft. I'm not saying he's irreplaceable but we would have to get extremely lucky.

What if he's out indefinitely not because of his knee, but because Monty won't put up with his crap?

Dude's consistently produced at a high level for 7 consecutive seasons. EG can't even play a game without blowing a knee,

a. granger is hurt

b. granger has as bad of an injury history as EG

IMO we already did. Rivers is just as talented and has the potential to be better. He just needs time to grow and develop. I know what you are saying though, I just think you go a little over the top with it at times. But it has to be hard defending Gordon over and over, so I sympathize.

I totally disagree with this. No body is as important as Davis to the team or the future. Losing him or an injury would be devastating. Everything we do should be to make him better or make his life easier. If he is the player we think he can be, that is our path to the championship.

I love Monty but it's times like this I really miss Paul Silas. Can we hire him as asst coach in charge of media relations? His take on Gordon would be priceless.

"Paul, can you elaborate on Gordon's condition?"

Silas: "C U Next Tuesday"

talk about over the top...why don't we see Rivers shoot better than 29% before we start looking at him as a legitimate better than Gordon option. I know you know the 10th pick in the nba draft is no sure thing.

Come on now. Let's be real. Rivers hasn't even played a regular season game. He has already had 2 injuries in 1 preseason. I hope he does become a better player than Gordon, but he hasn't shown an inkling of it yet.

will rivers rival these numbers as a rookie 1 year removed from college?

16.1 ppg
2.6 rpg
2.8 apg
1.0 spg
45.6% FG
38.9% 3PT
85.4% FT

Rivers definitely has the potential to be just as good, but he's got a long way to go to get there if he even can. Gordon is more of a sure thing for now.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Gordon's scoring and shooting as well as his perimeter defense are a great complement to Davis' rim protection and presence under the rim. Both are equally important in my opinion. Quality big men are just harder to come by.
