I can understand that. To me it seems like the Hornets have known he is still in pain for a while now. At least, the beginning of camp. So, why not take care of it a month ago.
I am not trying to pile on the guy. I am just trying to find the logic in the situation.

Exactly. Too much uncertainty for my liking.

I totally agree. Honestly, I think the Hornets should have been way more proactive in his treatment.

Can I ask this??? How did he even pass the physical to get the contract extension in the first place? How was this not ruled a career ending injury if he can sit 58 games on season and still not be able to play at the start of the next season?

I really hope he plays soon, and plays hard. To me its simple. I am a season ticket holder from BR. We missed 5 games last year. I rush to leave work at 5 and fight traffic just to make a 7 tip. Hell, my wife spent $$ on a custom Squeaky jersey last year. We put our hearts and money into this franchise. It's not to much to ask for our franchise player to have the appearance that he is doing the same.

Unfortunately, quitting the Zanies wasn't really planned + buying house = no td.com ballerstatus anymore :/
I'll be at games, just didn't make this one and probably not Friday night (BR for Bama game)

At least I can base the zanies without fearing that some purple ninja is going to sneak attack me at the games

I agree that the offseason drama was unnecessary and that Gordon went about it the completely wrong way.
You were defending he frick out of him at the time. Plenty of talking out of both sides of your mouth. "Well he's handling this the wrong way but imagine how he feels not getting a max offer a first" or "It's Dell and Monty's fault for not letting him know he's wanted enough".

There was some kid running around with a purple suit under his shorts and t-shirt (which makes no sense).

I was defending his reasoning, not his actions. The Hornets just let him run around from team to team to get wooed by whoever he wanted, and then Phoenix tells him he's worth a max contract, he'll be their cornerstone, etc. Anyone with no loyalty to the original team would rather go to the place that thinks he's worth more money and seems to value him as a player much more. Monty and Dell apparently didn't do a good enough job of letting him know that we would pay the max to keep him if we needed to and that he was important to the franchise. I guess I didn't make it clear enough at the time, but that's what I was defending, not the way he went about it.

And that thought is as much bullshite now as it was this summer.

Can you prove that it's bullshite? Unless you can see into Gordon's mind, the answer is no. We heard that Monty and Dell said they would match, but apparently they didn't do enough for Gordon to make him want to stay here. It's silly, but you have to cater to stars in the NBA because one player can make a huge difference.

Can we get a short summary, either here or in the OP for those that missed it
