Shamit just posted that he’s heard there is a pic deferment too. Which, I guess means the Pels get to choose if they want the pick, or take the following years pick, on one of the later picks.
I’ve never heard of this, but that’s just what I assume he meant.

Dave Mcmenamin was just on ESPN radio saying 3 firsts, pick swap(s), and the ability to defer pick(s) to years the Pelicans want.

For pick swaps suppose Pels end up with a higher pick than the lakers. Would the swap still apply if the Pels trade back in the first behind the Lakers?

The deferral would only be on the 2023 pick, IIRC.
2021 has top 8 protection and you can either have protection on a pick or the right to defer for a year but not both.
