Didn't sound like Portland was thev3rd team. Sounded like they were involved in trying to get okafor.
3rd team with Pels seems to be a search for 6ers.

Okafor to Portland? It seems like Noel was more what they needed.

Tweets just indicating that they recently got involved. Don't know anything else.

When Emeka was here they used to do this thing on the video strip where the had a picture of a oak tree then the letter a, then the number 4.
My one request is if we trade for Jahlil, that we bring that back. It'd be worth it.

What do we do for a point guard if we trade Jrue? I'm assuming by trading him they are not confident we can re-sign him?

If you trade Jrue, you most likely suck enough donkey dick to be able to draft Ball, Fultz, or Smith

Sounds like another $3 million fine incoming. Demps is the king of Injury Payouts.

I bet the he really has melanoma and the sixers are trying to screw us again

Dell should trade a healthy jrue for Noel. We've got the most incompetent front office.
Posted on 2/12/17 at 10:26 am to BigPerm30
so we got fleeced by philly last time for an unknown Jrue injury.
we're about to get fleeced by philly again for a known okafor injury.
fire him before its too late.

pre-face- in no way am i comparing myself to Embiid or Okafor or any pro athlete.
i tore my meniscus several years ago. the surgeons laid out 3 options for me w/ meniscus:
1) repair/stitch the tear back together- this was the best long term plan, but also the longest recovery (no weight bearing for a week or 2, brace for the next 6 weeks, no full range of motion....i believe this is what Westbrook did a few years back- no issues athletically for him)
2) shave off tear- middle ground... not ideal long term, but at least still meniscus there
3) remove meniscus- worst long term plan- bone on bone, but able to be active again in a few weeks (think Brandon Roy or CP3)
they told me they couldnt tell from MRI (i also blew out my ACL) and would have to wait until surgery before deciding what they would do. i was lucky and they stitched it back together. after the 8 weeks, i started some rehab. no problems since then running, hiking, working out, etc.
again, not comparing myself to any pro athlete. just passing along what happened in a similar situation. maybe procedures have improved. maybe it's more than just a meniscus tear (article indicates a lack of transparency from Philly...like QPon "knee").
but if it was just a repair, there should be no long term side effects

While things could start up again quickly, it appears #Sixers' conversations w/ #DenverNuggets about Jahlil Okafor have stalled. #StayTuned

Idk why but I lost it at this comment.
I was on board with the acquisition as this team has proven efficient at developing bigs. This knee thing seems like a big old "frick us" in the making. I can just see Demps and our idiot med staff googling knee injuries to try to figure out what Philly's game is here. In fact, it's probably the hold up in trade talks.

If Holiday is involved then that third team better be sending us a damn good young point guard
I really can't see Jrue being involved. He's long been talked about by the front office as a key piece of the future next to AD. On top of that he's playing his best basketball since we traded for him and is finally healthy.
The only way we'd be trading him is if something happened that gave the front office serious doubts that Jrue would re-sign here.

Man Jrue is balling lately no doubt but how is this not translating to wins? Something is just completely off. He's playing like a second banana next to AD and we still suck.
The idea of throwing max money at him and returning the same team essentially is frightening. Goddamnit I'm so ready for the Demps era to be over.

Because we're still a roster full of voids. 2 players can't will a bad team unless one of those is Lebron.

Denver is trading Nurkic to Portland via Woj

Looks like Denver is trading Nurkic and 17 1st rounder to Portland for plumlee and 18 2nd rounder per Woj.
