get back jack, and make room to sign a sf

Jack is making $6.3 per year and we'd likely be sending expirings out, so I doubt we'd create room by bringing in Jack. Secondly, it'd take almost ALL of our scrubs.

Salmons
Babbitt
Jimmer
and one of Withey/Ajinca

I'd still do it. Jack is familiar with the system, can create his own shot, and has leadership in spades. Trade scrubs for Jack, sign Andray Blatche for depth (if he'd settle for being a 4th big) and hope you have enough to make the playoffs.

ETA: missed the "send out Tyreke" part. I might still do this if we don't move Tyreke. You still have to move one of the guards long term, but I like Jack as a 3rd guard.

@WojYahooNBA: Blazers will send Will Barton, Victor Claver, a future lottery protected 1st and a second-round pick to Denver for Afflalo and Alonzo Gee.

It would be nice to have draft picks around trade time

Draft picks, favorable contracts, healthy players with some production. Any thing really.

The Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City are in serious talks on a deal for Brook Lopez – with a key component centering on the Nets’ ability to persuade Thunder guard Reggie Jackson to make a long-term commitment to the franchise, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Nets and Thunder are discussing a deal that would include center Kendrick Perkins, forward Perry Jones and Jackson joining the Nets, but Brooklyn is working to gauge the enthusiasm of Jackson about coming to Brooklyn, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

There are several more moving parts in Nets-Thunder trade talks, league sources said.

Minnesota and Philadelphia are part of a broader possible deal, league sources said. The Nets are trying to persuade Kevin Garnett to accept a deal to the Timberwolves, bringing them back Thaddeus Young. The Sixers have interest in acquiring forward Chase Budinger from Minnesota for draft considerations. The Sixers would then buy out Budinger's deal and allow him to become a free agent.

Is Buddinger better than Babbitt? I know you want no part of him with a $5 million player option next year, but for a minimum for the rest of the season you have kick the tires I think.

If we get jack and keep all 3 guards, I have a hard time paying 4 guards that much money. I feel like we would be better off getting an upgrade at sf rather than having jrue, eg, reke, and Jack.

We get morrow back this way, always loved him when he was here

Jimmer and salmons could switch and it would still work as well fwiw

Portland has a great FO IMO.

I'm jealous.

I do too, you have to move one of them in the offseason if you trade for Jack. But Gordon should finally be tradable next year, and I think Tyreke has been productive enough to have a market.

The difference is minimal. Buddinger is trash and is also injury prone.

They have made some nice moves, but Portland is a top heavy build like us, even more so now, they just don't have 2 of their top 5 players out every night.

Thomas Robinson goes to the Nuggets as well in the Afflalo deal.

Denver is in advanced talks on a deal to send JaVale McGee to Philadelphia, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

With afflalo, Matthews seems to be out the door. I think it's his last year and afflalo is 8mil for another two?

Afflalo has a player option that most people expect him to decline.
