Yeah Eric Kasileus (sp?) said clearly Orlando has the best package to give
WTF. Orlando has, by far, the worst package to give. Just dog shite awful.
Their reason: CP3 and Howard would be AWESOME in a P&R. Yeah no shite.
They totally ignore the trade from New Orleans' perspective. Demps should put out a release simply saying,"WE DONT WANT JAMEER frickIN NELSON!"

I wanted to call in so bad but I knew I would never get on. What a god awful trade.
ESPN just pushes these terrible trade ideas because they want CP3 elsewhere, especially NYK, Orlando or LAL, its good for ratings, and they don't give a shite what we get.
Can Randolph even be traded until December?

If Demps did that, I would love him for life. I would erect statutes to him, because that would be

First see if you can get Chandler instead of Azubuke, if not go ahead and do it, imo.
Of course Chandler is the better player but I think this is the fairest deal. Plus we'd have Gallarni at SF plus Peja this year plus Qpon on the bench. Azubuke with be a great SG to pair up with Thornton.

Yes. I think he can be traded before the season starts.

Actually Azubuike would be a good match for Thornton, a defensive SG. I prefer Chandler, but I could live with Buike.
Gallinari, Randolph, Buike, Curry's expiring plus future picks would be a somewhat decent package, especially if they are taking on Okafor.

Exactly. Why exactly would we want to downgrade at the position and take one MORE crappy contracts? Gimme a break man.

it's as if collison's rookie season didn't happen
obviously they weren't watching

People who didn't watch the Hornets and just read a stat sheet claim we're delusional for thinking that Collison is a starting-quality PG who can replace Paul, let alone being a better fit than Nelson, Rondo, etc.
They don't seem to take into account that Collison started 32 games but spent most of the other 50 subbing for Paul, which is a different role than playing the starting point with the first-stringers and kind of distorts his stats as a result.

The guy averaged 13 pts and 5 ast last year WITH Dwight Howard and a bunch of shooters around him.

Anyone know much about Mozgov, the 24 year old 7 footer from Russia? The media claimed he was the "best international free agent" for what ever that's worth.

quote:
Jonathan Givony, the president of Draft Express, a Web site that analyzes draft prospects, first reported the deal. He called Mozgov a “super late bloomer” and compared him to the Los Angeles Lakers backup center D. J. Mbenga.
“He’s athletic like him, he has bad hands like him, but he’s more productive,” Givony said. “That’s the style of a guy he is. He’s a banger, he’s athletic, he’s tough, he finishes well around the basket and he can block shots.”

Go to the Knicks board on RealGM.
Those guys think that if they have to take on Okafor, that we would have to include expirings and picks, AND they only have to give up Toney Douglas, Chandler, Curry.
Good stuff.

expirings? it makes sense, but they don't have the pieces to assume these salaries in an adventageous way

Christ, that's any board right about now. Everyone thinks they can pick up Paul for peanuts and that they're doing US a favor if they take Okafor, Posey, etc., with him.

That would be fine with me if he's a throw in. Good potential and this team lacks size.
But if I'm dealing with the Knicks, Gallinari, Randolph, Curry's expiring and taking on Okafor are musts. Everything else is negotiable.

The Knicks can go frick themselves, if Paul is going to NYC, I want Gallinari and Randolph.

The Knicks have come out and said they are willing to part with anybody on their team not named Amare.
quote:
The Knicks hope they can put a package together to convince the Hornets to trade Chris Paul to New York. A league executive tells the New York Post that everyone, except Amar'e Stoudemire could be included to get the trade done.
"Amar'e won't be traded, but everyone else is available," the executive said.
One important note: Any free agent who has signed a contract with the Knicks can not be traded until December 15, at the earliest.

They should have to probably throw in an unprotected 1st since CP3 is a star, Okafor is a legit starting big in the East, and JuJu might be somewhat salvagable in the Knicks' offense.
