T-Spoon replacement.

Was HC for Warriors G-League team for 4 seasons. Played 1yr in NBA and multiple years in Europe.

Looks like player development, so probably saying he's a TSpoon replacement is accurate.

College coaching career (2015-2017)

Following his career as a player, Miles was hired at the University of Kansas as assistant director of student-athlete development for the 2015–16 season.[11] The following year, he accepted a position as assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University under head coach Joe Dooley, a former coach of Miles at Kansas.[12][13]
Santa Cruz Warriors / Golden State Warriors (2017-2021)

On August 10, 2017, Miles was named head coach of the Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League developmental team of the Golden State Warriors.[14] After two seasons, he was promoted to staff with Golden State as a player development coach.[15]

Boston Celtics (2021-present)

In the summer of 2021, Miles was hired as an assistant coach by the Boston Celtics[16]

Pretty impressive hire. I thought for sure he'd end up on Udoka's staff.

Was a McDonald's All-American and former Big 12 DPOY in his own right and was a PG.

For Jayson Tatum, an obvious franchise cornerstone, Udoka had new hire Aaron Miles in mind. Though Miles didn’t have any previous relationship with Tatum, Udoka trusted his close friend to be able to build one quickly. Udoka believed Miles had thrived in a developmental role during his two seasons with the Warriors and would bring that experience into his new role. “What Aaron has brought is his personality and his relatability with those guys,” Udoka said. “He does a great job with the guys. And that’s why I really targeted him with Jayson, watching what he did in Golden State.”

Still, Miles has already emphasized certain areas of focus to Tatum. The Celtics want the 23-year-old to draw more free throws during the coming season and seem to be pushing him toward more physical play overall. After the preseason opener, Udoka said he wants Tatum to play “big boy ball” in the low post — an obvious call for Tatum to use his strength when he gets the ball close to the hoop. Miles said he agrees with Udoka that “big boy ball” and playmaking are keys for Tatum to improve.

What a great hire. Seems like he came in to help with Zion/BI play making and drawing fouls

Maybe with BI but Zion draws more fouls than anyone in the league without attempting to do so. Dude goes for the rim with true grit, which is lacking trough out the league. Refs had to have been instructed to not make the calls cause it’s been obvious, atrocious and criminal. And the talking heads refuse to speak on it.

I think he's go to be important for Dyson's development. He'll break his tendency to pass out of the paint.

Really like this hire.

They needed to switch the bench up.
