His max extension is reasonably cheap. 20 mil aav is reasonable for him so there shouldn't be much thought. Even if you don't intend to keep him long-term, his contract will be easy to move and will more than likely be an asset in the deck.

Well there's more to the story. He's a philly native and that probably played a big role in him taking the job. There's probably not much the Pelicans could do to retain him. He probably wanted to go home and found an opportunity.

A mild contusion is generally a 1-3 week injury. We'll find out if it's more significant if he's out longer than that.
Since it's the same shoulder he had surgery on, I'm guessing they're being extra careful with it since we aren't playing meaningful games right now. Either way he needs to sit out until he feels 110%.

Everyone has turnover issues in Willie Green's system. It's an outlier in his career. He has enough of a sample size to say that's not the norm.

I was not in favor of giving bey an extension this offseason but he deserves it. The man has been playing lights out.
