Pels-OKC Preview (NOT THE GAME THREAD)

Just want to talk about anything other than Zion's fat arse.
Pels won 3 of the 4 matchups this year, but did lose the most recent one.
we won the 3 games by 3, 3 and 4 points.
BI only played in the 3rd game, as did Larry. CJ missed that 3rd game, as well as the 1st game. Might as well ignore the 1st game b/c that team is nothing like the team that will play tonight.
Some stats from those games, from most recent to 1st game
SGA scored 35, 24, 44, 31
Herb played in all of the games, and was a -7, -5, +3, and 0 +/- in them. but Herbs been playing great lately.
BI in his lone game scored 34, and had 6 turnovers.
CJ had 26/8 in the recent lost, and had 17/11 in the 2nd game win.
JV played in all 4
13/4 points in 16 minutes in the last game
14/8 points in 25 minutes in the 3rd game, and the highest +/- on the team.
10/7 in 27 minutes in the 2nd game, and a -3 where everyone was around -3 to +3, but -3 was the worst.
8/10 in 20 minutes in the first game where just about everyone was at 0 or negative +/ and Zion was +19
JV needs to be more dominant in the minutes he plays. There's no reason they should be able to stop him offensively.
Jaxson played meaningful minutes in the 2nd game. Had 21 points and 6 boards and his +5 was 2nd highest on the team in that win. He played 32 minutes in the last game and had 11/8, and was a -2, which was again the 2nd highest on the team.
Larry has looked terrible since coming back, and he's really not being very helpful when he does play. His strength was his defense and he's too slow out there right now.
Jaxson needs to get heavy run tonight.
Trey has played in all 4 and had 15, 12, 23 and 20 in them. He's hit at least 2 threes in all of them. He's been either the 1st or 2nd highest +/1 in every game but the last one. We need Trey to be Trey if we want to win.
OKC has had the same starting lineup the last two games against us.
SGA is going to get his, but we have to limit Giddy and Jalen Williams. We can't have them each scoring 17+ and dishing out 5+ assists each.
How we play against SGA isn't nearly as important as how we play against Williams and Giddy, imo. Herb will have his work cut out for him, but the only way to slow down SGA is with team defense, and it starts with that 1st high pick they are going to set for him.
I think we will need Dyson and Jaxson to win this game.
This will be the first game we play against OKC with CJ and BI together. They should not be able to slow us down offensively. There's only 1 Lou Dort out there.
JV needs to be the difference maker in this game. He should be able to play 20 minutes and score 20 points and grab 12 rebounds against these midgets. We have to get the ball into him in the post to start the offense, let the defense collapse and then whip the ball around for the open shot or lane to the basket. And Jaxson is going to have to step up and play some meaningful defensive minutes, and also rebound the ball with aggression when he's in.
In conclusion,
Pels win 118-110
