All I’m hoping for now is that we actually get to see what our full roster looks like playing together before the trade deadline. Then we can make some educated and informed decisions (hopefully).

Quintuple vagina.

But, let's be real here, we definitely are one of the worst NBA franchises out there. I mean think about it, the hornets moved here in 2002... 21 years later, we've won 2 playoff series. That's pretty terrible.

23rd in all-time win%, 30th in postseason win% and one of only two active franchises that have never made a conference final.

Sucks, but it's just facts.

Just stop it. You also realize we are also the youngest franchise in the NBA. We joined in 2002. Come on man, be reasonable.

Sure, doesn't negate the fact that we've been an afterthought in the NBA for the last two decades.

You could say that about 75 percent of the league. Some of them were only relevant when this franchise didn’t exist.

And since our entrance in the league, we are still at or near the bottom in postseason win% and overall win%.

And it's not like we're new anymore, despite one of the youngest franchises. We've gone through 2 ownerships with an NBA detour in the middle and 3 different GMs/POBO's, not to mention winning the draft lottery twice.

We've yet to show that we can consistently put a winning basketball team on the floor. To act otherwise is some serious head-in-the-sand stuff.

We’re still new because technically we’re the youngest team in the league- what are you talking about here? Going through different owners and gms doesn’t make you an older team.

Again there a lot of teams in the NBA that struggle with providing a consistent winning product. This isn’t the NFL- winning in the NBA consistently in a star driven league is extremely difficult.

Point

your head

Never said we're not new, but it's not like we're still struggling because we're new. We're struggling because of different waves of incompetence in the front office over 2 decades.

And while we are technically the youngest franchise because we gave all the Charlotte Hornet history back to Charlotte, lets not act like the first year of New Orleans Hornets basketball was a bunch of noobs calling the shots. It was pretty much all of the Charlotte regime that came down.

And we've wasted two stars in spectacular fashion and are in the midst of doing it a third time.

And since you're hung up on us being around for 22 years, I'll add this:

The NBA expanded in 88-89 with the Hornets, Heat, Magic and T-Wolves, followed by the Raptors and Grizzlies in 95-96.

All of those teams made a conference finals within the first 20 years except for... the Hornets.

There was a reason the mods erased your thread topic. Maybe you should

Pull

Again this all happens on a lot of NBA teams ALL the time. Not everyone can be the warriors, lakers or nuggets of last year. If this bothers you so much just join the warriors, nuggets and lakers bandwagon like lot of these bandwagon nola fans that show up at the games. The warriors had stretches where they were a really bad team and so did the nuggets. Sometimes you need to get lucky- jokic was a second round pick; curry was hurt a lot and resigned for cheap before he exploded. Again constantly winning in the NBA is very difficult. You need health, luck, and timing.

I didn’t follow this team in 1988-89 and i could care less what it did in Charlotte. According to the NBA, that history technically isn’t ours but if you add it to strengthen your argument go ahead. It seems like you just want to make a conference finals- but thats such a silly thing to point to but lets use that argument.

The CP3 era we were one win away from making the conf. finals. In the AD era we were 3 wins away. Yeah we haven’t done shite in the BI/Zion era mostly due to injuries. The sixers and kings haven’t made the conf finals since 2001. Wizards haven’t gone to conf finals since 1978. Clippers made their first conf finals 3 years ago- they were in the league since 1970. Knicks haven’t gone to conf finals since 1999. I swear I can keep going here champ.
