Lance? Why would they want a guy they waived? Magic is delusional is he thinks he can get AD with only two of the three young guys.

Just a hunch, but I think this is being leaked because Lakers know they are not getting Davis at the deadline.

From the Lakers perspective, if you know you are not getting Davis, it is better that it is leaked that you were not offering the kitchen sink and playing hardball. Shows that you are in control of the situation. If it is leaked that they did offer kitchen sink and Pels still laughed, then it gives off impression that Lakers young guys are not that good. And they may not be that good but it is in Lakers best interest to do somae damage control to protect the value of their assets.

This is definitely a Pels leak. Guillory was used as a source in one of Shams tweets. It would be Ramona Shelburne if it was the Lakers just like with AD’s dad or the Turner guy from LA Times.

I think the Pelicans have firm control of this battle.

Ohhh man, I bet he'd love to be traded right back to the team he bailed on last year just so he could team with the almighty king james then they turn around and use him as a piece to get his old teammate

Rajon would be bought out likely I’d assume

I find this to be a complete insult to Dell Demps and our franchise. I mean what the frick kind of offer is that...

Edit: the first round pick would be a late first rounder, we would get back a PG that left us, a struggling Lonzo, a wash in Beasley, and a guy that will be a solid starter and nothing more.

We have to atleast get back a top 3 pick or a perennial all-star type player aka Jaysom Tatum. The lakers could have at least included Ingram and I probably still wouldnt have budged.

Lonzo Ball-Does not want to be here

Rajon Rondo- Left us to go to LA, prob. buy out

Michael Beasley- Michael fricking Beasley probably waived

Kyle Kuzma- I'd be amped to get him he was traded for anyone else on this Roster not named AD or Jrue.

This basically amounts to Kuzma and a 1st for AD

Hard to call this an insult.
Because it was leaked by Pels.

Lakers offered multiple packages and this is probably worst of them.

This is how it works.

Everybody is throwing punches.

Now Lakers/Paul turn.

Curious if Ainge is helping Dell with managing this s**t while he has his own Kyrie stuff...

No, this was leaked because earlier in the week there was a "leak" saying LA offered Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, Zu and a 1st, and everyone was saying "they're just holding AD hostage not even countering"

This shows that those kinds of offers are bullshite

nly way Lakers can get a deal with us is if the Rams admit they don't deserve to be in the Superbowl and let the Saints take their place.

First of all, this is the problem. Trading away a superstar and fans obsessing over the NFL.

Second, wrong ownership group.

The Pels probably planned on not leaking anything when this story broke but figured they had to after what Rich Paul and the Lakers were doing. They are playing this thing dirty and the Pels seem to be pissed and ready to give them a good fricking.

I’m impressed with how this has gone. I still want change and an official POBO, but Ferry remaining as shadow POBO and a strong new GM candidate works for me too.

I am cool with that if they interview a dozen people and they select Ferry at the end of that. But don't just do it because its the easy play. They should be thinking about putting people in positions up top for the next 10-15 years. If that is the goal, you take a few weeks, maybe two months, to go through the process of talking to everyone while having an open mind.

Thats how an elite franchise would do it and moving forward, if I were them - with every decision and crossroad, I would ask "How would an elite franchise do this?"

They definitely need to go through that process. At the very least they’ll have a lot of experts telling them they shouldn’t take the short term view on ticket sales.

Lebron and co. don’t get to dictate this. If we were just being dicks and holding AD hostage it’d be one thing. But the Lakers simply don’t have the assets to net them AD.

the only way this plan would work is if AD was a free agent in a couple months. we have that couple months plus a whole year

And KCP is on an expiring deal but they still gotta keep him around to make Klutch happy.

KCP is the key to their whole plan. if we demand they take solomon hill so we get the expiring, BOOM, they don't have the cap for 2 max guys

why i've always said any offer without KCP/Hill switch is bad

Does anyone else see the downside on this round of leaks?

Mainly that the Lakers can pretend to up their offer to the one that was originally leaked, therefore seem reasonable, and the Pels can accept and pretend they “won”
