Dude what are you not getting about this? By the time he is 35, Jrue's k will be up. Its the time of 31-35 that is relevant in this discussion. Parker just brought his team to the finals. If you think that over the next couple of years he will drop off, I would like to know how you are jumping to that conclusion.

Idk why we're having this argument. Parker is one of the best in the league but he's on the downside of his career. Jrue is a young guy with lots of potential who is hitting his stride. The goal with this rebuild is to be good enough 4 years down the road to be able to resign your best players, not have to start over in 4 years. jrue is good enough and young enough that he could be a Pelican for a long time if we can improve enough during his contract.

And their really is no point to discussing Parker. We just went out and got the best point guard available to us with a good salary.

Hey legend. How you like my idea of trading the pick?

This.

Can someone name a better PG we could get in this draft or via trade (and you can't trade Davis)?

Well, if you wanna go by win shares 3 out of the top 5 Houston players were new.

The other 2 in the top 5 (Parsons and Greg Smith) are in their second year in the league.

No I don't want to argue about Houston's roster. I understand Harden was not the only reason that they excelled this year. But he was ceratinly the best player on that team.

I understand backtracking. You said that he was a top 5 guard. You mean to tell me that was an exaggeration now?

Well yea I don't think anyone will argue that.

I honestly don't care what stats you post, if you believe Omer Asik was Houston's most important player. I don't know what to tell you.

I'm with you, but the reason Parker's name was brought up was that he was not a top 5 PG, while Holliday is. Those kind of statements are going to evoke response on a message board.

Again, I never suggested we should have traded our pick last night for Tony Parker. Would have taken at least 3 first rounders.

I know this is a small sample size, but the Rockets were 2-2 without James Harden this year.

He isn't far from it. Backtracking, meh. Just excited about the draft.

I left out the most important part. I still think that statement is crazy though.
