Why the hell would the Knicks do this?

And the Knicks would likely get the good version of Zion

It's amazing to me that we still have idiots on this board that truly believe Zion has been sandbagging with the Pels for 7 years and will suddenly "turn it on" once he gets out.

It doesn't work like that.

What we have seen from Zion is who he is. A change of scenery isn't suddenly going to turn him into a perennial all-star.

Lol. Nice way to play with my words.

Zion is a great slasher. He's actually a historically great slasher AND finisher.

Missed games or not, he has proven this time and time again. I definitely never said he was the only great player in NBA history and the joke doesn't make sense.. You can't even finesse your joke correctly smh. We gotta do better bro.

Slashing requires to move and work without the ball in your hands… so… no

Huh? Are you serious?

Slashing skills include ball handling, driving on a single defender and splitting defenses, and finishing at the basket. Zion is historically gifted at all those things, just doesn't finish with his off hand as much as the Wades and Jordans and Gianni's of the conversation.

Zion drives to his off hand far above NBA average 34% compared to the 26% NBA average for drives to the basket.

Iverson is up there in the slasher conversation but he NEVER drove left. He did it far less than anyone else in the conversation.

Your off ball abilities have nothing to do with the focus of this topic bro. It's a big enough issue that Z doesn't shoot or do much off the ball, you don't have to take away from the things he's at the top of the list to criticize the things you are trying to focus on.

You don't know what a slasher is then if you think off-ball movement has nothing to do with being a slasher.

And while we're at it, his ball handling skills aren't anything special.

My point being -- when he arrives at MSG suddenly those 'injuries' arent as serious and he starts doing all the things we wished he would do here

Doesn't matter. If a guy is willing to tank his career than its not a guy you want anyway. Who cares what he does elsewhere
