The first play that Freeney is in the game, should be run right at him (to determine his ability to hold his ground). The next play should try to isolate him in coverage (to determine his mobility). He should be monitored throughout the game and someone should report to Sean Payton so he knows when calling the plays.
I like this.

Ridiculous if you don't include Belechick in this.

Did I miss something? Did the annoucnce he will play or is this hypothetical?
There was an interview with Caldwell this morning following the report that he still didn't practice yesterday and Caldwell said he is gonna suit up and give it a go tomorrow. I swear if that dude comes out motor running without a flat tire on one side, I am totally going to know this crap is rigged. The rules are clear about accuracy, enforcement of the rules, not so much (as in the Pats references).

OK, I really believe what others have posted. Just like DeMarcus Ware, and all the gloom and doom about his concussion and he rocked our world, Freeney will rise from his deathbed and play at an elevated (even for him) level.
Just for the record, Ware was physically fine but just had to get cleared bc of the concussion. If the same situation had happened 5 yrs ago, this would have been a non-issue bc he wouldn't have been immobilized on the field and carted off. He would have been down for a few and would have been helped off the field...
Freeney has a sprained ankle. Everyone saw the play when it happened and unless he has rubber ankles some damage was down...

since when would a clear Superbowl favorite resort to tricks like this? His ankle injury looked bad when it happened, and unlike a head injury you can't just miraculously recover. It's a legit injury.
He will prob give it a go, and like others said.....go right at his arse and test him.

I like the idea of putting Zack Strief in as a TE, and ram it right at him. Keep going after him till he can't walk on it.

This is what I would do. First play run the full back straight at him. After a first down play a trap play at him again. Keep doing this until the guy has had enough. When he leaves thats when we take the advantage.
