Anyone think we trade Werner?

With Ellis signing we could trade Werner and have Ellis and Stutsman as starters with Stalbird and a draft pick as backups…

Definitely possible, could be why they didn’t touch his contract for a re-structure. I wouldn’t think it would happen until after the draft though. They appear to be making sure to have all or most of the holes filled prior to the draft. Moving him just creates another deficiency

Stalbird played 3 defensive snaps over the last 5 games (none in the last 2) while still playing special teams those games.
He is not going to be a factor in the LB group like people think he is. He played all of 63 snaps total with the vast majority coming over the middle 7.
We lost Davis and needed to fill that spot. You still need at least 3 LBs for a good rotation.
The only chance that we trade Werner (and not guaranteed but a small chance) is if we now also draft Styles.
