It was definitely pretty weird that Peyton turned down the big opportunity to get coached up by Curley Hallman.

So let me get this straight.. Because Archie played for the Saints and has embraced NOLA, his sons were supposed to go to LSU then play for the Saints?

For some reason, I don't see hatred coming from Tulanians for this, and they could have walked to Tulane from their house...

While it is stupid to hate on the Mannings for not going to LSU, lets be honest about this.

Tulane fans don't care enough about their football team to hate anything associated with it.

Yeah, basically. People aren't allowed to make their own decisions, they have to make decisions based on what the people on the TD Saints board want.

That's because Tulanians aren't in any danger of being spoiled by success when it comes to football.

Really don't get this whole Manning hatred thing. I am a huge LSU fan and hold no animosity to the Manning boys for not going there.

Exactly. I love LSU and the Saints and this Manning hatred is almost comical....Honestly though I think it's mainly coming from a vocal minority.

That's patently false. I've personally gone through some battles with some of our fans over that...

But you get my point. Tulane is in NOLA, yet you don't see Tulanians questioning their loyalty to NOLA as you see some people on this thread questioning their loyalty to Louisiana because they didn't go to LSU.

When did N.O. come in to the Eli sweepstakes? If I remember correctly, he didn't want to go to San Diego (which ultimately sent Brees to N.O. when they drafted Eli and traded for Rivers) and opted for N.Y. Not sure why someone would rather be in the cold northeast as opposed to the sunny west coast, but that's me.

We ended up drafting Will Smith at 18 or so. Worked out for everyone. NY go Eli. SD got Rivers. And the Saints got a stud DE and franchise QB. No complaints here.

Thank you.

Things seemed to play out well for everyone involved, so why complain?

Good thing these gutter punks aren't "elitist" enough to meet him. He probably funded something they use and enjoy and yet they still bash him.
