but you have ask yourself if the kid didn't have anything why did SP keep him on until now?
Now YOU ask yourself this:
If he was a "good" WR, why did he NEVER record a catch?
And why does such a smart offensive mind like Sean Payton not value him enough to keep him on the roster?

but he did keep him on the roster. The opening day roster, when many people thought he would be cut.
Other circumstances have occurred that made it necessary for the team to cut him but he will be back on the practice squad, and I wouldn't bet against him being back on the 53 man roster at one point this season.
He isn't as valuable as some think but he is certainly has more value, at least to Payton, than some are acting like.
The fact that he kept him around through 3 years of preseason injuries, and kept him as a 6th WR that has no value on special teams, on a depth chart loaded with pass catchers not only at WR but TE and RB also, tells me that.

And then he cut him for a kicker. I'll trust Payton's judgment of WRs to know that he probably didn't think Arrington had much of a chance of ever beating out Henderson or Meach.

So, why is no other team gonna pick him up if he's good?

I absolutely LOVE when people think they are right and if anyone disagrees they're "foolish" or "blind" or "dumb". And I love it even more when that person is completely completely clueless. Goodtimes.

That no other team in the league, including those with woeful WRs, chose to pick him up.

dude is an idiot, Arrington has been with the saints for about 3 years now, mostly injured that's why he's never gotten on the field and he is buried on the depth chart because of it, but he wants to argue with you that this kid has no skills, and is not a good WR which is a bunch of BS otherwise Payton would have let him go long ago!
not only that, he takes what I say like potentially "great" receiver" (which he very well good be if he would stay healthy so he can play) and blows it out of proportion, typical. We don't know what Arrington can do because he has never gotten the chance, I do know that it took Meachem 4 years to come around which this (shel311 character) has shite to say about as well as Henderson, and guess what? both still drop balls today!
In the brief time I've seen Arrington play I have seen the potential, he doesn't drop balls like them, he's just not as fast as them, but the dude is precise with his route running and everything, he is a flatout WR.

and the reason no other team has picked him up is because it's obvious, injuries don't amount to a lot PT for other teams to see what kind of player you are, and the guy has been injured like I keep sayin for the 40,000th time with the Saints, plus they have done a good job of keeping him under the radar! Some folks just don't get it!

Oh, and like I said earlier stop replying back man, you make my head hurt because it's so hard to explain shite to invalids!
this convo doesn't need to go on any longer, I've lost interest and moved on!

So let me get this straight, you think the staff is purposely "keeping him under the radar" so he doesn't get picked up by another team when he's cut?

No, man that's not what I'm sayin, but you guys are killin me so this conversation no longer interests me! got it!

he was cut for the 3rd kicker on the roster. Roster size limits forced us to cut the weakest player at our deepest position, to address concerns with another position. He didn't get cut bc of his own deficiencies at WR.

Apparently you don't bc you think
quote:is more of an indication of his value than Payton keeping him on the team, and keep bringing him back.

You can't have it both ways. Either the other 31 teams are right and he isn't good enough to be on an NFL team, or you trust Payton and Arrington has some value to this team
