I think we get a game changer at OLB or DE in the first round.
I like Kiko Alonso from Oregon, good instincts and was all over the field. Could be a late round steal IMO

Vilma may not have liked the 3-4 in New York but he played it well... I don't know though man... I think he could be gone.
Ya know his leadership is highly valued. Still the combo of change to 3-4 and the cap squeeze makes his departure look inevitable.

Hawthorne is really a big question mark to me
hear whatcha sayin. Don't think there is a question about his return because of His Contract. It would cost right at $10mil of cap to cut him and only save $8mil. So a net -$2mil just to let him go. I pencil him & Lofton in at ILB.

What about Alec Ogletree?
Don't see his draft stock approaching Saints #15 at this point- but stranger has happened. Looks like the last quarter of the 1st Rd range to me. Green Bay would be a nice fit.

Perhaps losing Bushrod to free agency and having no decent LT's available for us to pay for in free agency with none seemingly on our roster at the time and Brees getting the sh!t knocked out of him all year because we didn't secure next to Brees the most important position on the offense thus leading to another lost year would cause some to disagree with your assesment
It won't. I will never change my stance on this. Bushrod was solid and ended went the to the pro bowl. What was he, a 4th or 5th rounder? No reason to draft an offensive lineman in the top 10-15. Ever

Huh? Will the NFL let us get multiple guys with one pick if we go with a d-lineman?
I don't know WTF you're talking about. I'm saying I'd never take an offensive lineman in the first round. One offensive lineman is not a franchise player you can build around. Period. I don't know how a team can justify "building around" a tackle if they don't have a QB.
A defensive lineman can change a game, hell, change a season.
Look at our O-lines we've had lately:
Evans - 3rd round
Nicks - 5th round
Bushrod - 4th or 5th?
Grubbs - free agent, late first round
Strief - 7th round
Brown - 2nd round
BDP - UDFA
I'm not saying we have the best O-line and they struggled last season, but so did the entire team. I'm just saying I'll be supremely disappointed if we go O-line in the first. 3rd round, fine, take O-line. Not first.

The LT question should be clearer before the draft. I see 4 options:
-Re-sign Bushhog
-Sign a different UFA LT
-Insert Charles Brown (Bushrod had fewer reps when he became starter)
-if none of those LT skyrockets in draft need.
As to offensive lineman, there are some shutdown anchor types that can be built around. Not many, but a few.
