He definitely won't, but I wish he'd hold his ground.

Before Kaep, virtually 100% of Americans would have said it's disrespectful to not stand during the Anthem.

You don't get to say it's not "just cause."

Also, this is a new interview but Drew has said this before, so Michael Thomas knew that, not sure why he's flipping out. Emmanuel Sanders should have known that, so he should know better if that means so much to him. That opinion Drew spouted isn't something we haven't known before.

And?

Should Drew feel differently because some black people feel that way?

Honest question. Has a poll ever taken by current and former military personnel with their opinions on the matter? If the majority feel as though it was a slap in the face then my point stands in that Kaep's intent, while solid and 100% justifiable, did not meet the execution so maybe different tactics should have been employed.

i wouldn't say he came after him. LBJ's tweets were - to my relief - fairly mild. Especially compared to some of these others piling on.

It’s up to him how he wants to feel. It’s just that there is so much lack of self awareness in his statements.

We need to protect Drew's house in the Garden district. Don't think some of these idiots won't go do something to his house because they have a different opinion on the anthem's purpose.

Right, but those tweets come off as loss of respect which is especially short sighted considering everything else that Drew has done and will continue to do. There is no such thing as innocent until proven guilty in the court of public opinion unfortunately.

They are on the same side but differ on 1 or 2 things and thus come across as being on opposite sides.

I don't think Drew knew the questions going in. And he also probably thought he didn't want to be rude and not answer the question. The guy did what he always done and stuck to his beliefs. Why is that a bad thing?

He may have portrayed some bad tact or some poor wording, sure, but to say he didn't understand the original point that was trying to be made is disingenuous.

So it pretty much boils down to you've respected the flag your entire life but because black people don't, Brees now has to not respect it too?

Why is he tone deaf? Because he doesn’t have the same opinion as you? That’s the biggest problem. The minute someone doesn’t agree they are racist or don’t understand

That sounds like, "look at me everyone, I knew this all along but can't show you how I knew, you just have to trust me" quote begging for attention.

The irony is that Brees has done more for black communities than these fuggers have or ever will.
