Reggie can not help who he plays on his schedule. When he put his numbers up he is doing it against another team in the NFL and at that point in the season he showed no signs of slowing down.

The truth is he did it all last year until the injury. It wasnt his fault but its just another reason to say he hasnt lived up to his contract.

How many punt return TD's did they allow last season. I really do not know the answer.

our offense gives the rbs alot of opportunity to score. pierre thomas had more tds at the end of the year than bush had in the beginning. and thats including bush's punt returns.

Ive seen a few people on this board say that Minnesota's punt coverage team was the worst ever.

Now I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the NFL but I really have no clue how good certain teams punt coverage units are. Do you guys really know this much about football. Do people base this belief that the vikings coverage team was the worst ever because of this one game or did they allow a few throughout the year?

I just dont see how people can discredit the two punt returns because of this belief that the vikings coverage team was a bunch of scrubs who couldnt cover a punt.

How about you stop reading it when people type it.

Not exaggerating at all. They gave up an NFL record 7 returns for touchdowns on special teams and an average punt return allowed of nearly 15 yards. It is one of the worst in the history of the league. Not to mention they gave up most of those returns in the first half of the season.

Bush is a solid player, and I hope he continues to improve, but I just think people overblow that stat. As Diat said, Pierre ended up with more total TDs.

Pierre:
12 TDs on 160 touches (Rushes and Receptions) = TD/13.3 touches

Bush:
9 TDs on 178 touches (including rushes, receptions and punt returns) = TD/19.8 touches

6 TDs on 158 touches if you remove punts = TD/26.3 touches.

So Pierre in two more touches doubled Reggies TDs scored from scrimmage.

Even with the punt returns added in Pierre was 50% more efficient at scoring TDs per touch. Kind of funny how effective Reggie was to some of you.

Reggie Bush was leading the league in total TDs before he got hurt. Deal with it. It's a fact.

The Vikings played the Bears twice last year and did not allow Devin Hester, the NFL record holder for kicks returned for TDs in a year, to score

Just a fun fact that you can take however you want

He got hurt in Week 7 and was essentially the same the rest of the year. There is nothing he can do about getting injured its part of the game.

These stats for both Reggie and Pierre are pretty impressive... honestly man, you are looking for a reason...Are you saying you are not cool with Reggies scoring once every 19 touches?

Thats like a td a game man?

The guy has been very productive when healthy, i dont know what you are talking about, I'll take those numbers.

BTW, we know pierre is good too....I think the rest of the NFL does know too...

Thomas thrived against poor defenses when Bush was out.

So what's you're point again?
