our run blocking has better good since carl nicks hit his stride last year. we were averaging over 5ypc over the late stretch of '08 but we didn't commit to the run.

Thats because you know nothing about offensive lineman performance. You hear his name called on a penalty every couple games and you assume that he sucks. Well he allowed the fewest sacks in the league on average his entire career starting for the Saints, and he has always been a mauling run blocker. The two seasons he made the pro bowl were no fluke, you just have no idea what the frick you are talking about.

100% disagree brah. Zack is not so easy to push around. C Brown excells at pass blocking but is not a road paver like Bushrod or Strief. The Saints had little intent in a Off. lineman early in the draft, but as they so often do they couldn't pass on the fact that a 1st round guy slipped all the way to them in the 2nd. He's a rookie. His time will come.

the ceiling is high for Bushrod, remember last season was his first season at seeing any kind of action, and he held his own against some of the best DE's in the NFL, some he got beat by, but what else could you expect from someone totally green.

Brown will only see the field if Bushrod or Strief goes down, and he will go through the same rookie growing pains, Bushrod is way ahead of him right now, I don't care how athletic Brown is, Bushrod will start improving rapidly now from last seasons experience, watch and see.

that's because Jamaal Brown was a TERRIBLE run blocker.... seems like ya boy was talking out of his arse trying to make his case... he has a valid point the pass blocking, but the run blocking he's DEAD FRIGGIN' WRONG about!!!

combine that with how many false starts and holds J. Brown contributes PER GAME, and i say good riddance.... don't want to be here, we don't need him here, let's get it going with Bushrod and/or C. Brown...
