2006 Chicago: loss
2009: Minnesota: win
2018: Rams: loss
In Denver
2025: Pats: loss
He’s 1-3. He’s also 1-2 at home. He’s bad in conference title games. And yes, the Rams PI no call was absolute bullshite. So was the Saints offense that game.

Payton lost two with Saints. Really one since refs fricked them in 2018

I'll appreciate him always. I won't cheer for him though since his foot was out the door for years and then he quit on this team once he realized what a disaster it was, and he lied about "retirement" knowing full well he would be back ASAP.
Payton after the Super Bowl was an empty calories coach. Hooray for awesome regular seasons that ended in absolute cruel heartache in the postseason.
Looking at a Denver fan forum and they are pretty shell shocked at Payton's arrogance and coming up short in the AFC Championship game. Get used to it, Denver.

I was rooting for Sean Peyton. Dude would have won another superbowl with Nix.
Thats ashame. All that work building that team, that roster to lose like that.
Wanted to see Sean Peyton win another one to stick it to Goodell and Loomis.
And Drew because he would take a paycut to get some defvensive help when the team had everything in place.

Yea lots of idiots in this thread, but not suprised on this forum. Like it or not he was the main reason for the golden age of saints football.
I remember threads popping up on here saying he lost it or the game passed him by after his first season in Denver. Or Brees was the only reason for his success. He made yall look like fools so now we get these threads. He wins this game easily with Nix.

If so you are a freaking idiot. Brees was vastly underpaid his first contract. They had plenty of money, but Loomis and company kept signing horrible big ticket free agents on the defensive side, Jason David, Brandon Browner, Bryd, Kaesvihorn, Kurt Coleman, the junior Gallette extension. List goes on and on.
Brees gets zero blame. On top of that, Brees got us the lead in almost every playoff game, only for the defense to lose the game for us in the last minute…
