No, I don't live in atlanta.
People in Kennesaw don't live in Atlanta, they live in Kennesaw. I live in Sandy Springs.

but you do understand that regardless of your zip code, that is considered to be within the metro atlanta area by most, right? i'm just curious, because i know folks from marietta who consider themselves atlantans...

saying you live in atlanta and saying you live in metro atlanta are 2 totally different things. you gotta realize the outter parts of metro atlanta include calhoun.
calhoun is a good hour or hour and a half from downtown atlanta.

Depending on the situation. If you are talking to a buddy who lives in Watkinsville you're not gonna tell him you're in atlanta, you'd say marietta.

well, that was my point...marietta is a lot further from the perimeter than sandy springs, but apparently sandy springs isn't "atlanta"...whatever...

okay
if i talk to anyone outside of georgia i say i'm from atlanta, so i guess i am from atlanta. if i am talking to someone from inside georgia i say otherwise. fair enough?
since i'm talking to outsiders on this board, then yes I'm "from" atlanta.

i was just curious because i found a lot of weird discrepancies when i spoke to people in different areas when i lived there...i don't understand why or why not people consider themselves "metro atlantans"...just wondering. totally irrelevant though.

yea, i get what you're saying. i guess the same goes for new yorkers or any city with different burbs or what not

yeah...i've noticed it a lot in dallas/ft. worth as well, which gets even more confusing...

I'm from Stone Mountain but say Atlanta since Atlanta is more known by people outside of the city/state.

JESUS CHRIST LET IT GO.
You won, congratulations. There's no need for you to attack the state of Louisiana.
