Yea the entire O-line needs depth via vets or from the draft.

I think Goodwin would come back on a one year, minimum deal and retire as a Saint. Clearly he still has a lot of respect for the organization. It should happen.

RT is actually good. We have 4 guys there. But LT only has Armstead and G/C only has 4 guys total(and only Lelito played C in preseason).

Goodwin would be a downgrade

I actually disagree - he's a great center in our offense.

For one year, at most.

It only takes one year to win a SB.

That the Saints are not sweating DLP leaving and have not picked one up in FA would strongly suggest the answer is already in the building.

Or on the draft board.

If they could pull this or even getting him for $1.5M or less, I'd jump on it if I were the FO. This also wouldn't eliminate the draft of a center this year anywhere from the 2nd through 4th. It would honestly be a near perfect scenario:

Goodwin comes in, stabilizes the ship for the year while our draft pick at Center comes in and eases into the job.

Since he knows the system, he can also serve as a mentor to that and keep our OL in good flow for the upcoming season.
