I am not really a Saints fan or anything, but if you added Steve Smith your offense is easily one of the tops in the NFL. In the same conversation with New England and Indy.

We will not get him because we don't have the peices to trade for him and we're in the same division.
He's a great receiver though and Shockey, Colston, Bush and S. Smith catching Brees' passes is just down right... Well... Damn that would be awesome.
Question 1: Hasn't Steve Smith had a few injuries the last three seasons and how old is he?
Question 2: What do you think of trading Deuce/Bryan Young and Jason David for Steve Smith?

That was before any big signings. $39m under in Feb. Off the top of my head, Smith is making about $9m per season, Colston $5m, Shockey $4m, Ellis $7.5, McCray $5m.

OK, Shockey has a $3.32m average. Colston's average is just under $4m. So less than I remembered, but I also forgot about Bryan Young's $4m per year contract, which was signed a week after that cap figure was released.
