Actually, Norwood ran the fastest 40 time (of anyone) at the 2006 combine

listen people SFP is a moron who hates on the popular thing most people like. he hates reggie because we pay him so much, but he's so stupid he doesnt realize we pay him that much because of where he was drafted. he'll never ever say JR sucks, which he does, and say that he's over paid, which he is. SFP = hater/massivedouchebag

If Norwood played for the saints, and Payton used him like he uses Reggie, yes, I think Norwood would be better than Reggie, offensively.

I don't think anyone would argue that Norwood would be a better RB, and I think he would do at least as good as Reggie receiving out of the backfield.

so your telling me you would want an offensive tackle who can run block but can't pass block? your logic is flawed.

Your logic is flawed here. With this statement, you are saying that Reg can't perform as a running back at all. Which is not true.

Now the comparable OT would be one who run blocks better than almost every other OT in the league and is average at pass blocking. I would take that. Especially if the rest of the line could pass block (i.e. Deuce can run between the tackles).

Reggie's career, he averages 3.6YPC and 7.5 yards per catch.

Norwood's career, he averages 6.0 YPC and 9.9 yards per catch.

It's not that farfetched if you look at it UNBIASEDLY!!!

Sure, Norwood's averages would come down if he caught as many balls as Bush, but do you honestly think he'd come all the way down and average less than 7.5 yards per catch and less than 3.6 yards per carry???

I think the complete opposite. I think it's kinda crazy to think his averages would go THAT far down below Bush.

And on a much simpler note. Have you ever watched him play? Again, if you have, it's really not that crazy to think he is as good as Reggie Bush.

but isn't as good in open space as Reggie off of passes or punt returns

i agree he doesn't have as much juke, but reggie doesn't make people miss as much as people think

and norwood isn't a punt returner, but reggie is hit or miss as a PR. he loses a ton of yards on a ton of punt returns

this thread was inspired after i had hoped everyone watched norwood take that swing-type pass to the house against the saints. i thought that would give him enough exposure
