With our old team and our shitty coach, we went 5-12. We were literally 7 points away from being 9-8.

Eagles - Lost by 3
Falcons - Lost by 2
Carolina - Lost by 1
Washington - Lost by 1

The Saints were a poor coached team with poor health and depth. We are not the Browns. It won't take much for Moore to pick up a couple of wins and get us the division. We are closer to being decent than the worst team.

Who knows. He is walking into a much worse situation, so we will have to be patient with him.

Worse situation?

Payton came into a city that was just destroyed by a major disaster. He had to convince coaches to come in and find housing in a place where 80% of the houses flooded. A team who finish what 3-13 with a sub par starting QB, and a home stadium being pieced together.

Payton had to basically rebuild the team from top to bottom.

That is what they were looking for and that is what they are hoping for.

Not many people can wrap their heads around this but it's true.

But you have to take into account that the older guys are getting older with nothing to replace them and some of those guys may be gone this offseason to start cap reset. I'm not expecting a lot of roster turnover this offseason but in 2026 it could be big. which is way this draft is critical to get as many contributors as possible and find a few gems.

This is just what bad teams do

Three of our five wins were vs teams picking in the top 8 of the draft. The other two were Dallas and Atlanta. Falcons and Giants were 3 point games

Your old team is a year older, you have zero game changers on the roster, and you can’t spend on anything but cheap depth pieces. Even before you get to incrementally improving the roster, you need to replace guys like Chase Young, Turner, will harris, udoh, young and Patrick, umadi, Adebo, Juwan… these aren’t even good players you need to replace but they all played meaningful snaps. You only have so much money and draft picks. And guess what? You still need to rework deals that’ll frick up 2026 too.

The rest of the division has arrows pointing up too. It’s important to have realistic expectations

Y'all gotta be patient. It ain't happening right away next year. We just need to see solid progress and improvement across the board.

Zach Wilson could be our Brees 2.0
Take the broken QB from the land of broken QBs to compete for the job .
