A lot of churches/reception halls have multiple events on the same day, so pushing back might be an issue.

you dont push a frickin event that has been planned for a year back for a football game. it sucks but oh well

Put a big TV in the reception hall then, why not? You think people would be offended to watch the game?

Calling a Saints divisional home playoff game "a football game" is like calling the Mona Lisa "a painting"

Problem with this is if they play like shite and lose, the reception is a downer for the die hard Saints fans attending...attended a wedding and reception during the LSU vs. KY overtime football game in "07 when they lost. Reception was full of Tiger fans bummed out.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking about. I want to be alone when my teams lose. My girlfriend forced me to a Christmas party on the night of the Cowboys game and even though the owner of the house put it on TV for me it sucked so bad to be around other people, especially non-Saints fans, while they were being handed their first loss.

That sucks. Nothing you can do but suck it up. The Saints has been in this position before and will be again. Saints fans are just waaaaaayyyy to excited about this. The hard work starts now and you would think the Saints already won the Super Bowl.

Yeah, stupid for everybody to be this excited after going 13-3, clinching the 1 seed in the playoffs with a chance to do what no saints team has ever done. Please people, settle down.

I would not go to this wedding unless I was the best man, the father, or the brother.

The only way I go is if I'm the groom.

We scheduled our wedding at the beginning of August to ensure there were no football games being played that day.

The good part is that it should be hard to forget your anniversary. The bad part of that is that if the Saints stay good, this scenario will repeat itself in the future...anniversary during a playoff game.
