Are you really complaining that i didn't bold the few words before that?
Not at all. Just saying that the other words in the letter mean things.

if the nfl wants to claim the fleur de lis and WHO DAT, why aren't they steaking their claim to the paper bags and the AINTS?
They should probably sue the Vatican for using the word "Saints." Hell, I bet there's a bunch of Vatican printed materials that are use black and gold as well.

God damn do people not understand what is happening here?

I understand that the NFL didnt give a rats a$$ till the Saints started winning this year. I can see if a shirt is printed with the name New Orleans Saints and Who Dat on it. But to say they own WHO DAT, well I don't see that. They don't own the fleurs-de-lis either, I would say the French do. Or the word Saint or Saints, I think that is in the bible hundeds of times.

After reading the NFL's letter to Fleurty Girl (the seller of #WhoDat shirt) the NFL makes no reference to how the shirt was advertised on the website or whatever.
"In this instance, that confusion is certainly heightened by the fact that you specifically reference the Saints Club in your product descriptions and marketing material."

Damn facts keep getting in the way of a good story

The facts are that the NFL goons got overly aggressive in their hunt for "bad guys" and they have been put in their place by a huge public backlash on the issue.
I don't care if it was Vitter or someone else, but it was nice having someone in a position of some power pushing back against the NFL. I was at a kids party today with Vitter and people couldn't stop comming up to him thanking him for helping the people of N.O. I also was at a bar today in N.O. and some guy had just ordered a bunch of Who Dat- going to sue me? or something like that shirt. The people doing his shirts were so backed up with similiar orders that they were working 24/7 and were still way behind on orders.
The Fluerty Girl store has a chalk board sign out front as of today that says they have sold out of all of their Who Dat shirts. Good for them.
The NFL folks could find rip off artist all over the city every day if they wanted too. There was no reason to get into this much of a power place over the Who Dat stuff.

Thanks oh wise one.
The problem has been fixed and I think the NFL understands that they crossed the line.
You are going to be amazed at the number of shirts that are going to be out there with who dat on it and some mention of the NFL.
They may be wrong on the matter, but is is fun to see the people of N.O. give a big fck u to the NFL on this situation.

Dumb arse NFL. They will learn to not frick with the people of New Orleans, Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region. You DON'T tell people from these areas what to do and what not to do. You may get away with the crap the NFL is trying to pull all over the rest of the country, but you don't get away with it down there. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we see shirts at the Super Bowl that say "HEY NFL..GET frickED...NEW ORLEANS SAINTS...WHO DAT" with a huge Fleur de lis....and every woman wearing huge Fleur de lis WHO DAT earings just to make their point that they could care less about what the NFL says. frick em!

The "frick da eagles" shirt girl is gonna be there in full force :)
Posted on 1/30/10 at 9:21 pm to chinesebandits58
Well IMO, the NFL's original claim to cease and desist of selling shirts with "WHO DAT" on them should have NEVER BEEN SENT. It should have referenced "Saints" or the trademarked "Fleur de Lis"..... there was absolutely no need to reference the words "WHO DAT"!
