Wow. Three whole games in three seasons. What a fricking beast. What about the other 45 games dammit!?!?

FWIW..He had 4 really good games just last year before he got hurt.

2008:
Tampa Bay 14 carries 51 yards, 8 catches 112 yrds. Great game winning TD.
Washington
Denver 18 carries 73 yards, 11 rec 75 yrds. 2TDs
Minnesota Everybody remebers this game.

* Also Missed 10 games

2007:
Nothing really sticks out in my memory. We started 0-4 and nobody played well during that strecth (not even Breesus). Bush also missed the last 4 games.

Also played well in:

2006:
San Fran (4 Tds)
Dallas
NY Giants (125 rushing)

Playoff:
Philli- stats were solid, not great. But he did it after getting his bell rung on the first play, so im giving him the benefit on this game.
Chicago

Not saying hes been consistently good but hes played well in more than just 3 games. FWIW SJS Eagle 85, he hasnt played in 45 games.

I definitely respect his response to that game, very easy to lash out at the fans or say something wrong, Bush seems to be very good with his image, just needs to get better on the field

It is just a matter of keeping him and the rest of the offense healthy.

Does it matter if he stays healthy? The offense runs as well as if not better when he's not in. Would we have scored any less if he didn't touch the ball last Sunday? I know we had a shot to score more if he didn't touch it!!

REGGIE IS THE GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME!!!
Reggie is very talented but needs to figure out how to make his talents work in the NFL. Also, the coaches need to put him in a position to be successful, and that's NOT as a power running back.

He actually did have a punt return in the washington game.. Remember he turned around and taunted the guy...again....

Reggie is a threat and i think that he is very beneficial to the team.
Having said that, when he starts fumbing the ball everytime he touches the ball i get nervous.
I choose to attribute his slippery hands to lack of preseason.
One can only hope...
GO SAINTS GO REGGIE GO SHOCKEY GO BREES GO BELL GO COLSTON ETC...

It is sad to see these so called Saints Fans hate a player that can help the team win football games.

equally sad that some people are so blinded by black and gold that no one can critize poor play by and overhyped, over paid player because he plays for the Saints.
Exactly, It would be nice to see him do well I just dont see that happening. There is to much speed in the NFL for Bush to be the type of player he was in college.

Has anyone here considered trading reggie to oakland? Hes a AD type player and we could prob rob the raiders of something. Maybe straight up reggie for Dmac. Or richard seymore idk.

Just make a trade, reggie bush for D-Mac. Al loves his versatility guys, and D-Mac would go nuts with a passing game to support him like Brees and the Saints.

Dude had a bad day. Lay off. He'll redeem. FWIW, Brady looked like shizat until the end where he won the game and looked more like the Brady of old. It seems like that dude just rather be under pressure to win the game from behind.

Bush will be fine...he is pushing himself too hard to make plays instead of letting the play happen. He wants to be a superstar and needs to play within the system and play design.

He's been running like a puss his whole NFL career....throw in the fumbles and what you got? Reggie's like a box of chocolates.....you never know what you're going to get!!

And that's the inherent problem

Bush just isn't consistent. And a lot of those games where he had good receiving stats Payton probably went way out of his way trying to get him opportunities. It's certainly not Reggie's fault but at times it feels like Payton really presses to find ways to get him the ball and it disrupts the flow of the offense.

I just don't think that he is that much of an asset. Part of it is that Payton doesn't utilize him as he should and part of it is he's not consistent in the run game. Does that mean he's awful? No. Does it mean that he was probably picked way too early? Yes

Bush practices on day off and responds to boos

quote:

Reporter: "Reggie did you hear the boos?"

Bush: "Uh, yeah I did," Bush replied.

Reporter: "Have you heard that very often?"

Bush: "No."

Reporter: "Is that like a first time for you?"

Bush: "I think so, yeah."

Reporter: "What's your reaction to it?"

Bush: "It's part of the game, you know. It's what happens. And, I just gotta find ways to get better. You can't complain about it because if I don't like it, then I gotta do something about it."

Bush missed most of the preseason due to injury, but said that was not the reason he performed so poorly Sunday. He said it was mental errors and he intends to do better.

Bush did average 11 yards per catch as a receiver, snagging five catches for 55 yards. He struggled in the running game getting only 14 yards on seven carries.

Why can't we just go ahead and make a deal with the Vikings and package Brees and Bush for Farve and Peterson? Lets get it going, the season is 1/16 over. Thoughts?
