So is the 5th confirmed or still speculation?

His old lady will love it in Philly. She may be able to brushing up on her trash talking.

Our offense was painfully predictable when Sproles came in and Ingram/Robinson came out. He is on the wrong side of 30 and we are pushed against the cap. While I don't think he sucked, he had to go.

Again, I don't disagree with the move, but I'm pretty certain his production would have returned, at least close to his usual, with the saints addressing those two issues I already mentioned.

The Saints are renovating their offensive philosophy.

Few people think he's garbage now (and they're wrong).

But Zach Strief could have run through some of those holes you just showed.

Ok, so overrated.

I never said he was a great player either, just that he's produced since he's gotten here.

Still good production for being part of a 3 back rotation.

Ever been on this board before? All it will take is one good game for Sproles.

Problem for Sproles was by the end of the year, how we used him was too predictable for good defenses. Kelly will come up with different ways to use him and now he's a new wrinkle in an already good offense again.

I believe you meant to say could. and those plays were made possible by ridiculous blocking. have you even looked at his numbers last season and even 2012? He is declining, and you are holding on to 2011.

Not saying he was someone we had to do everything in our power to keep him, but the dude clearly has another good year or two left.

Too many here suffering from the lingering effects of bashing jimmy for too long

TigerTerror I get ya..........he may help Philly add a wrinkle, but we can replace his wrinkle for the Saints with a botox injection and save money doing it.

I'm holding on to 2011 by showing all plays from 2013

And I picked those bc his quickness and acceleration greatly helped in those plays

I think they did right by Sproles by sending him to a good team with a good offense. I wouldn't have done it but he and his wife definitely have no room to complain now.

Lock it in........I'll bet you a years worth of posting privledges that we find someone who rushes for more than 220 and 2 tds and 70 and 600 and 2 tds recieving while adding someone who has better #s in the return game..........while adding Byrd to our Defense all because we let go of Darren Sproles.

of which the only good one by him was the last (in which he makes a sick move). but I'm glad you found all 5 plays he made last year

Absolutely. Wasn't really directed at you, mainly the others trying to figure out why teams were interested in Sproles acting like he doesn't add any value to a team anymore.

I'm fine with him being traded, but he definitely has something left in the tank.

If I had to pick $3.5M for Sproles or Byrd this year, I'd take Byrd every time.

Did Philly install turf? Or has the stadium moved south of the Mason Dixon line?

I will be surprised if the dude does anything up there. The majority of his big games and highlights came in the dome last year.
